Anderson Silva He is no longer at the height of his career. The Brazilian, who was UFC champion between 2006 and 2013, hasn't had two wins in a row since 2012. But that doesn't stop Spider from being revered by other names in the sport. The heavy weight alistair overeem remembered the anniversary of Anderson winning the belt and paid tribute through his Twitter account.
“Today marks 11 years since Anderson Silva became one of the most dominant champions in UFC history. It was 7 years undefeated”, wrote the fighter with a montage of the moments of the Brazilian's victory over Rich Franklin, at UFC 64 (check it out below).
