Shortly after breaking the record for title defenses, Anderson Silva, Demetrious Johnson he assured that he has no plans to move up from flyweight to bantamweight “just to move up”. A lot of fighters deal with concussions and I've said before that I'm not in this business to get concussions. I don't like being beaten. I mean, I can take a beating, but I don't want to if it's not necessary”, declared DJ, guaranteeing that there is still a lot to do in his category.

“Obviously, there are a lot of fights that are appealing to the public. Sergio Pettis is a great promise in the division. Henry Cejudo had an excellent performance (against the Brazilian Wilson reis) in his last fight. Joseph Benavidez He's coming back from injury...So I don't see the point in leaving now that I've secured my legacy in the division. Why not think about 15 defenses instead of 11?”, asked the champion.
