Despite little Ultimate promotion, UFC 216 last Saturday (7) made history for the organization with two title fights and a lot of excitement for Brazilians. In the main fight, Tony Ferguson became the first interim UFC lightweight champion and is expected to face Conor McGregor in your next fight. Right before “El Cucuy”’s victory over Kevin Lee, Demetrious Johnson overcame Ray Borg, made his 11th defense of the flyweight belt and surpassed Anderson Silva on the list of the event's most dominant champions.

Brazil was represented in four fights and left the octagon with two wins and two defeats. Fabricio Werdum would face Derrick Lewis, but “Black Beast” suffered a back injury on the day of the fight and was replaced by Walt Harris – “Vai Cavalo” took just 65 seconds to submit the North American and once again asked for a rematch with Stipe Miocic.

Poliana Botelho, in turn, had a successful debut in the UFC, beating Pearl González by decision after two years without fighting. The average weight Thales leites and flyweight Kalindra Faria, however, ended up succumbing to Brad Tavares e Mara Romero Borellarespectively.
