One day before UFC 216 this Saturday (7), Ultimate organized a promotional press conference for its next big event, UFC 217, which takes place on November 4, in New York. The six involved in the three title fights were present to answer questions from journalists and pose for photos, but the highlight was the rivalry between the middleweight champion Michael Bisping and the challenger Georges St Pierre. After several provocations, the Canadian lost his patience and pushed the Englishman during the confrontation between the two.

During the press conference, Bisping declared that St. Pierre was swollen and should not have agreed to fight him, as GSP is a former champion in the lower division. Initially, the Canadian was unfazed, but as the Englishman insulted him more, St. Pierre raised his voice and fired at the current champion.

PUBLICITY:

“I'll do whatever I want with you in there. I'm going to punch you in the face, knock you down, finish you off. I have the ability and power to do whatever I want in there (…) Just as water is wet and fire burns, I will beat Michael Bisping”, declared GSP, clearly uncomfortable.

During the confrontation between the two, Bisping touched his rival's suit twice. In the second provocation, St. Pierre ended up pushing him, with Dana White feigning disapproval, but laughing at the mutual provocations. The Englishman seemed pleased to have angered his opponent and laughed, while GSP remained irritated.
