Carlos Condit returns against Neil Magny at UFC 219 in December

After express on social media the desire to fight again, Carlos Condit was promptly attended to. Without stepping into the octagon since August 2016, when he was finished by Demian Maia, he already has a date, place and opponent defined for his return to action: he will face Neil Magny at UFC 219, on December 30th, in Las Vegas (USA), in a duel valid for the welterweight category.

Interim champion of the under-77kg division in 2012, Condit, 33 years old, is not going through a good phase, having lost three of his last four fights, including a fight for the welterweight belt against the former champion Robbie Lawler. His last triumph was in May 2015, when he knocked out the Brazilian Thiago Pitbull at UFC Goiânia. In Ultimate since 2009, he has seven wins and six losses in the organization

Magny, 30 years old, has only been in Ultimate for four years, but has already achieved an impressive 17 fights in the organization, totaling 12 wins and five defeats. His most recent performance was in September this year, when he was completed by Rafael dos Anjos in just over three minutes. He has already defeated the likes of John hendricks, Kelvin Gastelum, Hector Lombard e Erick silva.

This was the fourth duel announced for the UFC 219 card. Previously, three fights were already confirmed: Dominick Cruz x Jimmie rivera, Cynthia calvillo x Carla esparza e Louis Smolka x Matheus Nicolau.
