Even with just three fights in the UFC, Volkan oezdemir emerges as one of the main names in the light heavyweight category and should be the champion's next challenger Daniel Cormier. And the Swiss has a bold prediction if the duel actually happens. “No Time” declared that a possible fight with the North American would not go beyond the first two minutes.

In an interview with The MMA Hour, the light heavyweight warned that he hopes Cormier has recovered from the knockout he suffered against Jon Jones, in a fight that ended without result due to “Bones” failing an anti-doping test. The Swiss assured that he will quickly knock out DC.
“It won't be the best situation for him to face me because I have great knockout power. I hope his brain has recovered from Jon Jones because I'm going to take a lot of fire. In two minutes I will knock him out, as soon as I visualize this fight. I'm going to bring all my training to get there and knock him out. I don't want to get hurt, man. I want to come in, do my job and get out,” he said.
Oezdemir explained that, despite the prediction, he respects Cormier a lot and said he was happy with the “choice” of the champion. Recently, DC conducted a poll among his fans, who preferred to see him face “No Time” over a rematch with Alexander Gustafson.
“That was a huge thing. I am feeling very happy. Cormier is someone I respect a lot. The fact that he challenged me, took a vote and the fans chose me is something that means a lot to me. If the fans chose me, it means even more. I'm very happy with everything that's happening. 2017 has been great for me and next year will be even better,” he declared.
