The UFC 217 card, an event that will take place on November 4th, in New York, at the legendary Madison Square Garden gym, continues to take shape. This Monday (25), another duel was confirmed for the show. The Irish Joseph Duffy, known for having already finished Conor McGregor, faces the North American James Vick, in a duel valid for the lightweight category (up to 70kg). Duffy arrived in the UFC with the status of executioner of Conor McGregor, after submitting the lightweight champion in just 38 seconds, in 2010, when both played for Cage Warriors. In Ultimate since 2015, he has had five fights at home, recording four wins and one loss. His last performance was in March this year, when he beat Reza Madadi by points in the UFC London.

Vick, in turn, is more experienced than his next opponent when it comes to the UFC. Having been with the company for four years, he has already fought eight times, with seven triumphs and only one setback. Considered one of the main promises in the lightweight division, the North American giant has already defeated names like Glaico Nego França, Jake matthews and Abel Trujillo.

Three title fights are confirmed for UFC 217. After four years without fighting, Georges St Pierre returns to the octagon against Michael Bisping, current middleweight champion, the Polish Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends his legacy against Rose namajunas e cody garbrandt puts the rooster title on the line against the opponent TJ Dillashaw.
