“My fight on November 11th will be the last of my career. Thank you for enjoying this journey with me, Diego (Sánchez) and I will put on a great show for you”, declared “Imortal” through his social networks.

Last year, Brown was involved in controversy with the Curitiba fans during UFC 198. Annoyed by the boos at the weigh-in for his fight against Demian Maia, the North American made offensive gestures to the Brazilians, who booed him even more. At the entrance to the duel, he was pushed by an excited fan. In the end, he was submitted by the Brazilian in the third round with a rear naked choke. The next day, he got into trouble with one of his former trainers, who ended up being arrested.
