One day after having his light heavyweight title officially stripped again by the UFC, Jon Jones broke the silence related to yet another positive anti-doping test, this time carried out on the eve of UFC 214, when he knocked out Daniel Cormier. Now a former champion, “Bones” responded to a fan on Twitter and said he “swears to his daughters and to God” that he never used any type of steroid.

Social media user Thomas Kinsella sent a message to the fighter, asking him to finally tell the truth, no matter what it is. Kinsella wrote that other fans would respect him more for it. Jones responded.
“Man, the truth is this: I would never do steroids. I swear this by my daughters and by my God”, commented the former champion.
While he has not yet received any official punishment, Jones remains provisionally suspended, after the B sample of his anti-doping test also tested positive for turinabol. In addition to having lost the title and the victory over Daniel Cormier At UFC 214, the North American also had his name removed from the UFC rankings, indicating that he should be suspended by the company, as well as any punishment that may be given by USADA.
