The fighting world is in mourning again. Frenchwoman Angélique Duchemin, WBF (World Boxing Federation) featherweight world champion, died this Tuesday (29) of a heart attack. The boxer was 26 years old and had been hospitalized in the city of Perpignan, France, since she suffered a heart attack during training. In the last few days, she had a pulmonary embolism, which ended up culminating in her death.
Duchemin had been European champion since December 2016 and world champion three months ago. She had a 100% success record, with 14 victories. 15 days ago, an amateur MMA fighter also died after being knocked out in a fight in the United States.
