American Floyd Mayweather returns to the ring this August 26th after almost two years of retirement. He will face Conor McGregor, UFC champion, in a superfight and surprised by showing favoritism for the Irishman in the duel. In an interview with ESPN, the former boxing champion revealed that “Notorious”'s youth worries him, in addition to the difference in size and wingspan between him and his opponent.

“He is much younger. When you look at me and the Conor McGregor On paper, he's taller, has more wingspan and he's bigger in every way. He is much younger and youth is on his side. I haven't fought in two years and I'm 40 years old. So, if you look at it on paper, he's the favorite. I'm not the same fighter I was two years ago. I’m not the same person I was five years ago,” Mayweather admitted.

However, the boxer promised that he has worked hard to beat McGregor and compensate his fans for his recent performances, especially against Andre Berto and Manny Pacquiao, when he was harshly criticized for his conservative style and for having suffered some hard blows.

“I lost a step. A fighter like Andre Berto shouldn't even get this far against me. But remember, I was already 38 years old. This fight cannot be defensive. I have to go after him. I owe it to the public because of the fight with Pacquiao,” he declared.
