José Aldo spoke out regarding the new controversy involving the name of Conor McGregor. Last week, the UFC lightweight champion was harshly criticized by former boxing champion Paulie Malinaggi, who was helping the Irishman in camp for the fight against Floyd Mayweather, but left the team after being angered by leaked photos of training. Asked about Conor's alleged attitude, accused of publishing the images, the Brazilian once again criticized the image that his tormentor conveys to the sport.

"This is bad. He (Conor McGregor) has no respect for the sport, for the athlete. This is something that is not done within the sport”, declared Aldo, in an interview with the website 'FightHype'.

When it comes to the confrontation with Mayweather, Aldo was not very optimistic about Conor's chances. According to him, there is a big difference in strength and even in the adaptation of MMA gloves to boxing.

“McGregor has a good grip, but he’s not really a catcher. MMA gloves are very small, so when they connect there is no way”, said Aldo, who concluded by stating that he does not believe that 'The Notorious', who will earn around R$312 million for the duel, will fight again in the future.

“With the money he’s going to make, I don’t think he’ll ever go back (to fight),” he concluded.
