When questioning the inclusion of Chris Weidman In a poll where fans voted on his next opponent, Woodley received a message from Dos Anjos, who said he should be included in the list of options, as he was heading “towards the gold”, in reference to the belt. The North American disdained the Brazilian.
“Look, another guy wants to show up. Maybe he and the guy who pretended to be a clown on the tour (Colby covington) should face each other to see who is third in the category”, joked Woodley.
Rafael didn't let it go and sent a new message to the current welterweight champion. The Brazilian made it clear that he “is on another level” compared to most of Woodley’s challengers.
“I'm on a different level, my friend. I have the level of world champion”, concluded RDA who, if he becomes welterweight champion, will enter the gallery of belt holders in two categories, occupied only by B.J. Penn (welterweight and light), Conor McGregor (lightweight and featherweight) and Randy Couture (heavyweight and light heavyweight).
