The main duel of the show was the long-awaited rematch between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier, valid for the light heavyweight belt. Two and a half years after their first meeting, Jones defeated his arch-rival again, this time with a brutal knockout in the third round, which earned him the category title. The second most important attraction was the welterweight title fight, in which the champion Tyron woodley maintained his position by defeating Demian Maia, who was unable to impose his game in the grappling.
Despite Demian's defeat, Brazil won another belt through Curitiba Chris Cyborg. Aggressive from the first minute, Cyborg gave Tonya Evinger no chance, who even resisted the Brazilian's momentum, but was knocked out in the third round. Also noteworthy are the defeats of Renan Barao e Renato Moicano, which were surpassed by aljamain sterling e Brian ortegarespectively.
These and other battles will be the subject of Hangout SUPER FIGHTS. Starting at 20:00 pm (Brasília time), the site's team will meet to analyze the main fights of the show and their possible developments. Don't miss it!
