After Amanda, Cyborg puts Brazilians at the top of the UFC and warns: 'I'm going to keep the title'

Anderson Silva, José Aldo, Vitor belfort…Nothing like that. In the UFC, Brazil is representing among the women's champions: Amanda nunes, in bantamweight, and Chris Cyborg, in featherweight, are the only title holders in the country in Ultimate. With Cyborg's victory and the challenger's defeats Demian Maia, in this UFC 214, in addition to the setback suffered by José Aldo At UFC 212, the girls established themselves as the country's main representatives in MMA.

After her devastating victory over Tonya Evinger, Cyborg guarantees that, if it's up to her, she will remain featherweight champion until her retirement. She admitted her interest in facing Holly holm, but guarantees that she is willing to take on any other fighter, with the aim of continuing to represent Brazil well among women.

“I feel very blessed. I started training in 2005 and never stopped, I always trained and knew this day would come. I've had this dream for a long time and I'm very grateful for this opportunity to have three titles with three different organizations. I’m very grateful for that”, said the Brazilian.

While Cyborg keeps Brazil at the top of women's MMA at featherweight, Amanda nunes will fight to remain bantamweight champion against her rival Valentina Shevchenko. The two will face each other at UFC 215, in Canada, in September. They were scheduled to fight at UFC 213 on July 8, but the Brazilian had a serious health problem on the day of the fight and it was cancelled.
