Apparently, the information from boxer Jessie Vargas, who stated that Conor McGregor would have been knocked out by boxer Brandon Rios during training, is not true. And the person who denied the story was Rios himself, who claimed he didn't even know the UFC lightweight champion, much less having trained alongside him.

“The world has gone crazy. My phone is blowing up. I've received text messages and calls about it, but I've never met McGregor and I don't know who he is,” Rios assured, in an interview with ES News.

McGregor's team also commented on the alleged episode. In an interview with the British newspaper “Telegraph Sport”, the Irishman's coaches, as well as Brandon, denied the fact. “The guy mentioned by Jessie Vargas is Brandon Rios, not Brad Wheeler. And neither one nor the other sparred with Conor.”

the duel between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather will take place on August 26th, in a boxing fight scheduled for the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). It will be the Irishman's professional boxing debut, while the American has the perfect record with 49 wins in 49 fights.
