The duel between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor It will actually happen on August 26th. The boxing superfight has been discussed for months, since the Irishman became UFC lightweight champion, becoming the first fighter to hold two titles in the same category simultaneously in Ultimate. According to the North American website Yahoo Sports, the agreement for Mayweather x McGregor has already been finalized, with the parties having reached a consensus.

The expectation is that the announcement will come from the boxer, who announced at the beginning of the year that he was officially coming out of retirement especially to face Conor McGregor. Mayweather may announce the officialization of the duel this Thursday (15), through his social networks.
This Wednesday (14), the Nevada Athletic Commission officially approved the reservation request for August 26th for an event organized by Mayweather Promotions. The boxer's company holds several boxing shows a year, but the date will actually be for the duel between Floyd and Conor McGregor.
Initially, the superfight would take place in September, but former boxer and current promoter Oscar De La Hoya scheduled the duel between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Álvarez, two of the best boxers in the world today, for September 16th, making two major events unfeasible of noble art in the same month. With that, the duel was postponed to August.
