UFC light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, showed that the fights with the former owner of the belt Jon Jones they just stay in the octagon. The two will face each other at UFC 214, but upon learning of the death of his arch-rival's mother, DC expressed solidarity with the “Bones” family and sent condolences to everyone, including the former champion’s brothers, Arthur and Chandler, who play football in the NFL.

Through his official Twitter, Cormier commented that mothers are fundamentally important in the life of an MMA fighter and sent a special message to his rival and his family.
“In our community, the mother is the basis of everything. Jon Jones, Arthur, Chandler and Mr. Jones, I'm so sorry for your loss. May Camille rest in peace, I’m praying for her,” declared DC.
Cormier and Jones are preparing to rematch the first duel between the two, which took place in January 2015, at UFC 182. On that occasion, the then champion Jon Jones He beat his rival in a unanimous decision, but soon after lost the title due to problems outside the Octagon. Since then, DC has become number one in the light heavyweight division and has fought frequently, while “Bones” only saw action once again, winning Ovince St Preux at UFC 197 in 2016.
