Even though he was crowned UFC middleweight champion just a year ago, Michael Bisping seems ready to retire soon. The 38-year-old Englishman is the fighter who has played the most times in Ultimate, with 27 fights (alongside Frank mir e Tito Ortiz), and intends to make just two more appearances before hanging up his gloves for good.

His next duel should be for the unification of the middleweight title, as at UFC 213 on July 8 Robert whittaker e Yoel romero face each other for the interim belt of the category. After that, regardless of the result, Bisping says he intends to perform once again, in London or Manchester, cities that welcomed him very well during his career.

“I don't know where and who my next fight will be against, but, unfortunately, it won't be against Georges St-Pierre. It will probably be against the winner of Robert whittaker x Yoel romero. Even if nothing is defined yet, and my fans are to face Whittaker, I see myself beating either of them. Now, win or lose, I'll probably have one more fight. I want to say goodbye in London or Manchester. The England fans have always treated me very well and they really deserve it. The MMA fans there embraced me as one of their own and that made a big difference in my career”, commented the Englishman during the recording of his podcast “Believe You Me”.

In addition to being world champion at middleweight, Bisping also won the third season of The Ultimate Fighter, when he was still fighting at light heavyweight. After defeat to Rashad evans, the Englishman dropped down a category and hit the post several times until he got his chance at the title last year, when he surprised the then champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 and knocked him out in the first round. In October, at UFC 204, Bisping defended his belt against Dan Henderson.
