Belfort wins with determination

Belfort started the first round with a lot of patience, as usual. However, he sought to trap Marquardt with his movement. The American, however, invested in low kicks and managed a good takedown early on. However, the Brazilian managed to fight the fight well, he didn't take much damage and referee Osiris Maia put the duel back on its feet, where Belfort managed a good shot to the North American's body. Marquardt, however, connected two front kicks and took the initial round.

In the second round, Vitor started much better. He quickly cornered his opponent and achieved a good sequence, showing a different repertoire, with high kicks, uppercuts and crosses. Marquardt resisted and returned to the center of the octagon, investing in front kicks and straight punches again. In the end, the North American scored with another good sequence.

The last round began with “The Great” seeking to use his volume to score, always maintaining movement and avoiding Vitor's heavy left hand. Investing in a good variety of strikes, Marquardt moved away whenever Belfort threatened to pull the trigger. The strategy lasted until the last two minutes, when the Brazilian began to find the North American's face. Stunned, Nate was close to being knocked out, but managed to finish the fight. In the end, the Brazilian's effort and effectiveness made the difference.

Erick Silva is knocked out

In the first round, Yancy Medeiros started very aggressively, trying to get an early knockout. Erick silva, in turn, tried to remain patient and not engage in frank exchanges. However, the Hawaiian got the upper hand and stunned the Brazilian a few times during the initial round. In the end, Erick landed a good knee to Medeiros' head, which quickly took him down. Even so, the North American had the advantage.

“The Kid”’s strategy was the same for the second round. Medeiros arrived looking for the knockout, while Erick invested in kicks to the Hawaiian's body. In the middle of a sequence, Yancy connected with a left hook, which knocked down Erick silva.

The Brazilian fell stunned, but was looking for a better position to recover. Referee Eduardo Herdy ended up interrupting the fight when Medeiros was looking for an angle for ground and pound, giving the Hawaiian the victory. The fans present at the Jeneusse Arena booed a lot for Herdy and Medeiros' victory, which won back the Brazilians, thanking the locals for their hospitality. It was the Hawaiian's second victory since he decided to move up to welterweight – he had already beaten Sean Spencer. Already Erick silva loses again, after beating Luan Chagas in the UFC Brasilia last year.

Brutal rubber

In the second fight of the main portion of UFC 212, Paulo borrachinha He once again showed all his aggression, but added patience to his game, holding off Oluwale Bamgbose's initial momentum to knock out the Nigerian in the second round.

Borrachinha started the fight holding his pace a little more, but Oluwale Bamgbose went all out, looking to knock him out. The Brazilian knew how to defend himself well and started investing in low kicks. In the second half of the round, after being quickly taken down, Borrachinha also added hooks to the Nigerian's stomach and spleen to his repertoire. At the end of the opening round, he managed to corner Bamgbose, already tired, and came close to a knockout.

In the second round, the Nigerian returned even more aggressive, knowing that his fatigue would not allow him to reach the end of a possible third round. Borrachinha took advantage of Bamgbose's desperation and, with patience, but quite aggressive, found a way for his left hook. Oluwale fell stunned and the Brazilian continued with brutal ground and pound until the referee stopped the fight.
