Gadelha promises 'different' strategy for Kowalkiewicz

Brazilian also spoke about moving from Nova União to the United States, admitting that it was 'painful' to leave friends

The Brazilian Claudia gadelha will do, this Saturday (3), in front of Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 212, his second fight since leaving Nova União for Jackson's MMA, in Albuquerque, in the United States, in addition to training with Chris Luttrell. And the strawweight promises a surprise for her opponent, inspired by the changes she made in her training and the results shown in her fight against Cortney Casey.

Compared to the North American UFC Sao Paulo November last year, Claudinha had a confident performance and gave her dangerous opponent no chance, recovering well from the setback for the champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

“Here the focus is more on me. It's not team Jackson or team Luttrell, it's team Claudia. They work so that I can be at my best when it comes to the fight (…) Everything we trained in Albuquerque, I put into practice in the fight. I took the risk of doing things differently and that’s what I’m going to do from now on”, commented Gadelha, on the “Countdown to UFC 212” program.

After many years at Nova União, the Brazilian admitted that she felt a change of scenery and missed her family, friends and training companions when she decided to move to the United States.

“I thought it would be easy to adapt. But then I thought: “I miss my family, my friends”. I trained my whole life with the same people and saying goodbye to them was very painful”, admitted the Brazilian.
