Pepey, 29 years old, last fought in September 2016, when he submitted Mike De La Torre in the UFC Brasilia. A TUF Brasil 1 finalist, he has nine fights in Ultimate, with five positive results and four negative results. In total, the Ceará native has 13 wins and four defeats in his professional record.

Burgos, three years younger than the Brazilian, is undefeated in his career, having won his nine fights. In the UFC, he has two triumphs: he debuted by beating Tiago Trator on points, last December, and knocked out Charles Rosa at UFC 210 in April.
