Daniel Cormier had his dream fight scheduled once again: he will face, at UFC 214, at the end of July, his arch-rival Jon Jones. The rematch is an opportunity for the current light heavyweight champion to avenge his only defeat in MMA, suffered by his enemy at UFC 182, in January 2015. For this fight, Cormier has increasingly provoked the former champion, instead to remain respectful, as usual.

But DC doesn't face his words about Jon Jones as a provocation. The champion claims that he is just telling the truth and is tired of seeing his rival's problems harm him.
“I was respectful and let it go several times, even with his problems. Why should I keep doing this? I feel that the problems he causes for himself also harm me financially. I only speak truths about him. I'm not making anything up, it's all true. So, if the truth hurts, don't let it be your truth anymore. People don’t have to like the truth, but it is the truth”, commented Cormier, in an interview with the “5ive Rounds” podcast.
Among the “truths” that DC talks about Jon Jones, the American said he didn't know if his rival would show up on the day of UFC 214, as he would be using steroids, snorting cocaine and “having sex with prostitutes” throughout the week of the fight.
