Away from the octagons since November 2013, when he announced his retirement from MMA, Georges St Pierre prepares to fight again. The return will be against the middleweight champion Michael Bisping, still without an official date. Although confident, the Canadian admits that the four years inactive could take a toll in his next fight.

“I believe I am rusty. People don't really believe this, but I think I'm rusty. This will be a problem, but I'm an experienced guy. I'm one of the athletes with the longest time inside the UFC Octagon. Maybe, even the one that has the longest time, but I'm not sure. So, I think that, because I have a lot of experience, the longer I can fight, the more comfortable I will be inside the octagon. For me, the first few seconds of the fight will be very important. In other words, I have to be aware and be very careful. This will be the most dangerous moment for me, because when you are rusty, this is the hardest part of the fight. There is this difficulty in readjusting, but, after a few minutes, I will be back to normal”, stated GSP, through a “Questions and Answers” made on his page on a social network.
St. Pierre was also asked about the size difference with Bisping. According to the former welterweight champion, the fact that he is smaller than an Englishman will not harm him during the duel.
“When I found out I was going to fight Bisping, when I signed the contract, that's when I decided to try to get a little bigger, heavier. I won't be able to grow that much because I'm natural, but I'm already a little bigger than I was. I'm bigger than I've ever been in my life. Even so, Bisping is still a lot bigger than me, but I'm confident. I'll be honest, men like having bigger muscles. They want to be big, so it's good for me to be like that. I am happy. It's not the division I'm used to, but I want to make history against Bisping. He wants to fight me and I want to fight him”, commented St-Pierre.
