The Bellator featherweight belt is back in Brazil. The Potiguar Patrick Pitbull took no notice of Daniel Sraus and submitted the American with a guillotine choke in the second round. The fight was the main attraction of Bellator 178, held on Friday night (21), in Uncasville (USA).
The triumph marked Patrício's third victory in four fights against Straus. The North American had surprised the Brazilian in the last clash, in November 2015, and took his title.

“It's a dream come true and this belt is a gift for my son” said Patrício, with his son on his lap inside the cage.
The fight
Pitibull entered the cage ready to retake the featherweight belt. With an excellent game of dodges, the Brazilian struck well and prevented Straus from approaching. Realizing the difficulty, the North American tried the clinch game, but to no avail. Patrício ended the partial with an advantage.
Without being able to stand up in the fight, Straus attempted a takedown at the beginning of the second round, but was surprised. Patrício defended his rival's attack, controlled the neck and went for the guillotine. Unable to escape the chokehold, Straus was forced to tap out 37 seconds into the round.
With the result, Pitbull now has 26 wins and four losses in his career. Straus now has 25 wins and six losses.
