Despite making his middleweight debut in his next fight, the former welterweight champion Georges St Pierre doesn't seem concerned about the size difference between him and his opponent, the 84-pound champion. Michael Bisping. Without fighting for over three years, GSP guarantees that physical strength will be the only advantage the Englishman will have over him when the two face each other.

"Of course Michael Bisping he will be bigger than me, but I think that will be the only advantage he will have. Technically, tactically and athletically I am superior to him. It doesn't matter if he's taller or bigger than me. The only difference this will make will be when he falls to the ground, because then the noise will be greater”, commented GSP to the RT Sports website.

With no date set to take place, the duel between Bisping and GSP was almost canceled recently, when the Englishman was irritated by the delay in making a fight date official and said that if the Canadian didn't respond to him soon, he would give the title shot to Yoel romero. St. Pierre made light of the threat, betting that it was all just a bluff by the current champion.

“I think he's lying. I know he wants to fight me, I want to fight him and we both know this fight will make him more money. The decision is up to him, but if he wants, I'm ready to do it (the fight). That's who I'm preparing for. If things change, I will have to adjust and adapt quickly, but that's not a problem. I can do this. But he's the man, he owns the belt. For me, he is the most valuable rival and I always focus on the biggest target”, guaranteed the Canadian.

GSP caused a stir in the MMA world at the beginning of the year, when he officially announced that his return to competition would be in the top category and, right away, in a fight for the UFC middleweight belt. Welterweight champion between 2008 and 2013, the Canadian left his belt vacant after his ninth defense, when he overcame John hendricks at UFC 167, in a controversial decision by the judges. The then champion said, at the time, that he would be taking a break from the sport, but only returned almost four years later.
