The heavy weight Fabricio Werdum was not enthusiastic about the possibility of facing Luke Rockhold, former UFC middleweight champion, who challenged him to a fight. The two are enemies from the time they fought in Strikeforce and fought a few times backstage at events.

For the Brazilian, his enemy is just looking for notoriety, as he has not had his name mentioned by the media since he lost the title to Michael Bisping in June last year, at UFC 199. Close to a new fight for the heavyweight title, Werdum denied the challenge and even provoked Rockhold.

“I only fight people, not chickens. He's just trying to promote himself because he knows no one is talking about him. I'm one step away from competing for the title again. Why would I fight a chicken?”, the Brazilian asked the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

Like Rockhold, Werdum was also a heavyweight champion of the Ultimate world. At UFC 198 last year, the Brazilian lost his title to Stipe Miocic, and received provocations from Rockhold. A month later, the middleweight was also defeated and lost his belt to Bisping.
