The middleweight fighter Hector Lombard went through a delicate moment over the weekend. Through his social networks, the Cuban-born Australian reported with videos and photos an event in which he was involved with his family, but reassured his fans by saying that everyone was doing well. The athlete did not reveal where or how the accident happened.

“I am super grateful to these friends who helped me a lot after the accident I had. A miracle that I'm alive! Me and my family are safe and sound, thank you!”, posted Lombard, which he completed in another post.

“I just had a big accident here and I have my friends… I actually have a friend from Cuba who is helping me with changing tires,” he wrote.

Hector Lombard, 39 years old, is also having a good time inside the Octagon. Without officially winning since March 2014, he has come from three consecutive defeats. In 2016, he was knocked out by Neil Magny, in March, and for Dan Henderson, in June. In his most recent performance, he was surpassed by John hendricks at UFC Halifax last February. Hired in gold by the UFC in 2012, the Cuban has not yet convinced the organization: in nine fights, there were five defeats, three wins and one No Contest.
