Bisping criticizes Romero's challenge to Anderson: 'Desperate'

“A little desperate, Yoel romero. Interim titles are when the champion is not fighting or injured. I will defend my belt later this year. Patience is a virtue. You should know,” Bisping commented in a post made on his official Instagram.

Romero called for the fight against Anderson Silva as a way of staying active, as he got the chance to fight for the belt after knocking out the former champion Chris Weidman, but ended up being passed over by GSP, who returns to MMA after almost four years away, and chose to return to fight for the middleweight title, instead of fighting in the lower category, welterweight, where he was champion between 2008 and 2013 .

The Cuban justified Anderson's choice by saying that he and the Brazilian were the main athletes in the category without scheduled fights.
