Current bantamweight champion Cody Grabrandt still hasn't come to terms with the fact that Dominick Cruz, former owner of the belt, refused an immediate rematch between the two. “No Love” himself made a point of offering the fight to his rival after winning the first duel between the two, at UFC 207 at the end of last year. For Garbrandt, Cruz’s refusal indicates that he does not have a “fighter’s heart.”

“I was surprised by Dominick. For all the things he said before our fight. He said he was going to do a lot of things with me and he didn't do anything, so I felt it was right to give him the chance, since he was the most dominant bantamweight in the world for a long time. I would try again, I have a fighter's heart (…) I don't think he has a fighter's heart, I think I broke it and he will never be the same after our duel”, said “No Love” to the North website. Without the rematch, Garbrandt will now face TJ Dillashaw, his former teammate. Champion before Cruz, Dillashaw will coach The Ultimate Fighter 25 against his former partner and the two will face each other in the TUF Finale. The current belt owner is excited about the chance to beat his former friend.

"It is okay. I'm very happy to be able to fight TJ. Dillashaw is not a good person. He really isn't. It is a generic version of Dominick Cruz”, fired Garbrandt.
