Holly holm has not yet digested the defeat suffered by Germaine DeRandamie in the main fight of UFC 208, an event held last Saturday (11). The former bantamweight champion complained about blows applied by her rival after the end of two rounds. According to Lenny Fresquez, the American's manager, her team plans to file an appeal to annul the result of the fight, which gave De Randamie the inaugural UFC women's featherweight title.
“We are definitely looking at our options. We are looking at the options we have with the commission. We don’t yet know the necessary process…But it’s definitely a path we’re going to explore”, commented Fresquez, Holly’s manager, to the North American website “MMA Fighting”.
After the duel, Holm herself had already expressed her irritation with the punches after De Randamie's bell, saying that she had lost respect for the Dutchwoman, who defended herself in a post on her social networks, offering an immediate rematch to the North American.
