Daniel Cormier doesn't seem to be too concerned about Anthony Johnson, his next opponent, who he will face at UFC 210, April 8, in Buffalo (USA). According to the current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), ‘Rumble’, as he is known, has no chance of defeating him, and that is why he has adopted a less provocative style.

“Talking about us, in terms of competitiveness, in the world I live in he doesn’t beat me. He doesn't bother me. The way to fight Anthony Johnson and the person he is are the style of a bully, they really are. I think a bully will always try to be friends with a person who isn't afraid of them. That's what I think. (…) He realized that: ‘He’s not scared of me, so why talk loudly and that kind of thing?’. I don’t like that”, declared the champion, in an interview with the program ‘The MMA Hour’ (USA).

Asked about Johnson's high knockout power, Cormier minimized the risks offered by his rival, and again provoked, stating that the challenger usually 'gives up' in his fights.

“Honestly, this sounds like what he said the first time. He said he would knock me out whenever he wanted, that I knew what was waiting for me. I looked at it and said, 'What happens if you don't knock me out? What happens if you hit me with your best punch and I keep pushing hard?’. And we saw what happened. He rolled over, turned his back to me and let me finish him. (…) Yes, I think (that Anthony is a guy who gives up). It won't change. It’s the truth, he gave up against (Josh) Koscheck, against Vitor (Belfort) and against me”, concluded ’DC’.
