The former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey reappeared after a period out of the spotlight since the defeat to Amanda nunes at UFC 207, at the end of last year. The fighter was seen at a protest in Standing Rock, an indigenous area in the United States. Rowdy reportedly brought supplies to protesters and posed for photos, appearing smiling, unlike what was seen before his last fight.

The demonstration centers on an attempt to stop the construction of the Bakken Pipeline in North Dakota, which has been estimated to cost $3,8 billion. The new North American president, Donald Trump, recently signed an executive order authorizing the work. Trump, who was once involved in MMA business (he was one of the owners of the Affliction event, which went bankrupt at the turn of the last decade), is one of Ronda's biggest critics and even used his personal Twitter to declare that she deserved to lose to Holly holm.

It is not yet known whether Rousey intends to compete in MMA again. She had said, before the fight against Amanda, that UFC 207 was one of her last events. Although she has not announced a comeback, she recently posted a motivational phrase on her Instagram that indicated an attempt to make a comeback.
