Number 2 in the bantamweight rankings, the Venezuelan Julianna Pena is so confident that he will be able to face the champion Amanda nunes who already has a plan to beat the Brazilian. According to the TUF 18 winner, the Lioness suffers when her fights go on for too long. For Julianna, the key to beating the belt holder is in her fighting style, which emphasizes physical strength and Olympic fighting.

“Amanda is good at striking, but at the same time I saw her getting beaten by the fighter I'm going to face. She's not some kind of invincible unicorn. It can be beaten. If I can survive the first moments of fighting her and manage to control the gas, I believe I have a very good chance of beating her. I'm the type of fighter that puts you in the worst possible situation inside the octagon. I take my opponents out of their comfort zones, and place them where they don't want to be. This is how I get my victories. I see my arm being raised in all my fights. If you don’t think you’re going to win, you’re in the wrong sport”, commented Peña to the North American website TMZ.

Before thinking about Amanda, however, the Venezuelan needs to win Valentina Shevchenko, who is coming off a victory over the former champion Holly holm. The two are in the main fight of UFC Denver, on January 28th, and the winner must face the Brazilian. Ultimate's expectation is to match this fight to the numbered event that the company will hold in the middle of the year in Brazil.
