The Brazilian Vitor belfort came face to face for the first time with his opponent, Kelvin Gastelum, in a promotional event this Tuesday (17). The two will be in the main fight of UFC Fortaleza, on March 11th, and posed for publicity photos, in addition to starring in the first appearance of the event.
Despite not having greeted each other, Belfort and Gastelum did not exchange any type of provocation and the look was respectful. It will be the first time that the North American will fight in Brazil, despite speaking Portuguese fluently, after training with Fabricio Werdum e Lyoto Machida at Kings MMA, Rafael Cordeiro's gym.
In addition to Belfort and Gastelum, the promotional event was also attended by Bethe Correia e Mauritius Shogun, who also fight at UFC Fortaleza. The bantamweight will face Marion Reneau, while the light heavyweight will face off against Gian Villante. Other fights confirmed for the event include a lightweight duel between Edson Barboza e Beneil Dariush, which should serve as the second most important fight of the night.
