the american John Dodson could save one of the best fights at UFC Phoenix on Saturday, January 15, the first Ultimate event of 2017. In the main portion of the show, Bryan caraway would face Jimmie rivera in an important bantamweight duel, but he was injured and is out of the fight. TUF 14 champion, Dodson offered to replace the former champion's boyfriend Miesha Tate.
If the replacement is confirmed, it will be the first fight of John Dodson, ninth in the bantamweight rankings, since his defeat to John Lineker in the main fight of UFC Portland. Rivera, on the other hand, is coming off an important decision victory over the legendary Urijah faber, at UFC 203. He is currently ranked sixth in the division.
The UFC Phoenix main event will feature the return of B.J. Penn. Former welterweight and lightweight champion, the Hawaiian returns to fight at featherweight and faces the promising Yair Rodríguez.
