Former UFC champion TJ Dillashaw thought that the victory he achieved over Raphael Assunção at UFC 200 would be enough for him to get another shot at the bantamweight title. However, he saw his former teammate cody garbrandt get ahead of him and enter the dispute for the Dominick Cruz, in a fight that takes place at UFC 207. Also fighting at the event next Friday (30), Dillashaw didn't like Ultimate's attitude at all.

“I don’t blame Cody for this fight. I think any fighter should aim for the title, and should insist on making it happen. I blame Dominick Cruz and the UFC for this fight. I feel like they are making a mockery of the sport by putting the eighth best guy in the division against the champion”, said the North American, in an interview with the program “The MMA Hour”.

For Dillashaw, the current belt owner's experience will be more than enough to beat the undefeated challenger, who has only 10 professional MMA fights.

“I see Cody as just one dimension. He's a great fighter, fast, strong. He's good, don't get me wrong. I think everyone can win, everyone has a chance, but I would bet on Cruz if he could. He will fight a very intelligent fight, he is a veteran who knows what to do. I don’t think Cody is ready yet”, he pondered.

Dillashaw will also be in action at UFC 207. Number one in the bantamweight rankings, the former champion faces Brazilian John Lineker, who is in second place. It is speculated that the winner of this fight will be the next challenger for the 61 kg title.
