Conor McGregor He didn't like losing his featherweight title outside the Octagon. Before UFC 206, Ultimate promoted José Aldo the linear champion and put an interim title in dispute between Max Holloway e Anthony Pettis. However, contrary to what was announced, the Irishman did not “give up” the title.

“They shouldn’t do anything without consulting me first. I'm still featherweight champion, make no mistake about that. They can say whatever they want, create new belts and distribute them to people I already destroyed. I knocked out the current champion in 13 seconds. I also destroyed the interim champion. Officially, I don't care what they say. I’m a two-weight champion,” said McGregor upon receiving the Sports Personality of the Year award from the Irish TV channel RTE.

In addition to complaining about the removal of his title, Conor complained about the lack of dialogue with the new UFC owners and assured that he has options outside of MMA.

“I am analyzing my options. I want them to bring me a jet. The guys at WME-IMG, the ones who bought the UFC for $4 billion, I want to talk to them. I want to know what their plans are. Now I don’t know anyone’s plan”, declared the champion.
