Dana White used a good dose of irony when commenting on recent statements by Chris Cyborg. The Brazilian said the UFC was disrespectful in scheduling a women's featherweight title fight between Holly holm e Germaine DeRandamie, ignoring her.

“Are we disrespecting Cyborg? She said she can't make the featherweight limit in eight weeks. We offered a second and third fight, and she denied them all. With everything I have to deal with in my life, the last thing I would think is, “Let’s get together to disrespect Chris Cyborg”… We offered three fights and she denied them all. I had two fighters who wanted to fight for the featherweight belt. We are talking about professionals.”, commented the president of Ultimate, to the North American website “ESPN”.
Despite denying any disrespect towards Cyborg, Dana White indicated that, in the event of a victory for Ronda Rousey about Amanda nunes at UFC 207 and Holly holm at UFC 208, a rematch between the two former champions could happen.
“That’s the business of opportunities. When the chance comes, you grab it tooth and nail. If you don't, she'll leave and you'll never see her again. If Holly holm win and become champion, and the scenario has Ronda Rousey champion too, I guarantee that people will want to see this rematch in 2017”, he highlighted.
Cyborg expressed her dissatisfaction with Ultimate's decision on her Twitter, commenting that she is the weight champion at Invicta and that the two contenders for the title didn't even fight in the category, which will be inaugurated in 2017.
