Apparently, the UFC is close to renewing the agreement for broadcasting rights with the broadcaster FOX, in the United States. And for a value much higher than the current contract, signed in 2011.

According to the website 'Sports Business Journal' (USA), the broadcaster, which acquired the television rights to Ultimate for 115 million dollars five years ago, would be willing to close an annual transaction worth 450 million dollars (approximately R$1,5, 2018 billion) with the organization, which would mean a value four times greater than the current one. The agreement would come into effect in XNUMX and would be valid for ten years.

To get an idea of ​​how valuable this new contract could be, the value can be compared to American football. According to the 'Forbes' website, the country's main broadcasters pay the sport, just for image rights, approximately 1 billion dollars (R$ 3,5 billion) per season.

UFC was recently defeated by the Chinese group WME/IMG for 4 billion dollars (around R$ 14 billion), and several celebrities and influential businessmen became partners of the company, including Eric Shanks, current president of FOX, which should make it easier in negotiation.
