the reign of Conor McGregor continues to divide opinions in the world of MMA. The veteran Dan Henderson, retired from MMA since October, when he fought for the middleweight belt against Michael Bisping at UFC 204, he doesn't seem to have much confidence in Conor's talent, especially against a prominent name: Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“That boy who fought last week – I have problems with his name, Magomedov, the 70kg Russian boy – I think he would be a huge problem for Conor. I think he would definitely take him down and give him a beating”, said Henderson, in an interview with the podcast The Adam Carolla Show (USA).
However, Dan is keen to emphasize that he recognizes McGregor's qualities, although he disputes the fact that the opponents defeated by the UFC featherweight and lightweight champion did not use wrestling against the Irishman.
“I don’t dislike him (McGregor). It just took me a while to recognize it, to see a more complete game. He has good hands, good kicks, but I always wanted to see him against wrestlers who have good hands. I think Alvarez didn’t fight an intelligent fight,” he concluded.
