Former UFC middleweight title challenger, Thales leites will try to recover from the recent poor results in UFC Sao Paulo. On this occasion, the fighter faces Krzysztof Jotko, to those who want to “throw a bucket of cold water” on Saturday night (12).
Thales and Jotko experience different tides. The Brazilian recently lost to Michael Bisping, current weight champion, and Gegard Mousasi. The Pole has now won four consecutive victories. In an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS, Thales believes that the scenario is common taking into account the high competitiveness of the division up to 84 kg.

“The category is very competitive, it is the most difficult in the UFC. Everyone in the top 15 has the chance and conditions to be champions one day. And as there is not enough time for everyone to be there, the top 5 are on the verge of competing for the title. So let's wait and see what the next decisions Ultimate will make are, and in the meantime I'll be training, climbing my steps and focusing on my trajectory”, commented the fighter.
Therefore, Thales revealed that he studied Jotko's game in depth to frustrate him in the Octagon. “All athletes have their strengths and weaknesses, but I can't mention them here now, because the fight hasn't happened yet. But I'm well prepared, I know he's a southpaw, tall guy, has a very good wingspan for the category and is used to leading his fights, so I don't let him enjoy the fight. I know I'm going to have a tough time ahead, he's growing and has a winning streak, which makes him very confident, but I want to throw cold water on his confidence”, he promised.
O UFC Sao Paulo will be held this Saturday (19) and will start at 21pm (Brasília time) with full coverage of the SUPER FIGHTS, with narration of the fights in real time, combat reports and post-event interviews.
