It's becoming routine to tease people Max Holloway against José Aldo. Angry at not receiving the opportunity to fight for the featherweight belt, Holloway, who has an impressive record of nine consecutive victories, once again showed great discomfort with the Brazilian's recent statements about retirement.

“In a perfect world, if I fought Conor, it would be great. But the person who's really driving me crazy is José Aldo. He's talking nonsense to c... I don't know what he's talking about. I think Conor hit him so hard in that fight, he's losing his mind. This guy needs to get his ass in the cage, talk less and fight more”, said the fighter, in an interview with “MMA Junkie Radio” (USA).

Max, however, stressed that he respects Aldo's story, but cited the interim featherweight champion's injury history, which took him out of important fights and, consequently, harmed Ultimate. “I respect him. I respect him a lot. But at the end of the day, people keep forgetting how many times he left the UFC empty-handed in a main fight or co-main event he was supposed to fight and left because of injuries. I know injuries suck, but there were more than a few times that he had to leave the fight due to injuries or personal reasons. They (UFC) remember this kind of thing,” he concluded.

Max Holloway, of just 24, has 16 wins and three losses in his career, with 12 triumphs in Ultimate alone. His last performance was against Ricardo Lamas, in June, when he won by unanimous decision from the judges.
