Considered one of the greatest names of all time in MMA, Fedor Emelianenko You may soon see your next opponent in the ring announced. Former UFC fighter Shane carwin revealed that he received an offer to face the Russian at Rizin, an organization based in Japan.
Carwin, famous for his heavy hands, competed in Ultimate between 2008 and 2011, with four wins and two losses. Among his victims are Gabriel Napao e Frank mir, which even earned him the interim heavyweight belt in 2010.
On his Twitter account, Carwin, now 41 years old, revealed the existence of the negotiations, but was skeptical. “I accepted an offer to fight Fedor. He probably won't fight again. I met with Rizin and they made me a great offer, but nothing is signed,” he wrote.
Emelianenko, 40, last fought in June this year, when he overcame Fabio Maldonado in a tight and controversial decision by the judges. His record in professional MMA is 36 wins, four losses and one fight without result.
