UFC fighter Josh Samman, who died earlier this month, died from a possible overdose of recreational drugs, according to the coroner working on his case.

Samman, who was 28 years old, was found unconscious in his apartment next to a friend who had already died. The athlete was rushed to hospital and remained in a coma for five days, but did not survive. His death was confirmed on October 5th.
The coroner in the case, Craig Mallak, indicated that the most considered possibility is that there was an overdose. No toxicological test was carried out on Samman, but the fighter's friend showed high levels of heroin, cocaine and alcohol in his system.
Samman had been a UFC fighter since 2013, when he participated in TUF 17. In the main organization on the planet, he had three wins and two losses.
