Premiere in New York will have the most expensive tickets in UFC history

Fans who want to watch the historic UFC 205 up close, which will mark the Octagon's debut in New York City (USA), will have to prepare to invest heavily. Tickets for the event are already considered the most expensive in the entire history of the largest MMA organization on the planet.

According to the website “Seat Geek”, which compiles the prices for stands at various sporting attractions, the average price of UFC 205 tickets is around US$ 1.368,00 (R$ 4.377,60 at the current price). This surpasses the old Ultimate record, set in July this year, when fans paid, on average, US$1.136,00 (R$3.635,20) to attend UFC 200.

The prices in New York easily surpass the prices of other top UFC events in Las Vegas. UFC 202, headlined by the rematch between Conor McGregor e Nate diaz, in August, tickets cost US$929 (R$2.972,80) on average. This value is lower than the cheapest UFC 205 ticket, at US$931 (R$2.979,20).

UFC 205 promises to be one of the biggest events in the entire history of Ultimate. The main fight of the night will be between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez, when the Irishman, already featherweight champion, will also try to win the lightweight belt. There are other title fights at stake: Stephen Thompson challenges Tyron woodley for the welterweight title, and Karolina Kowalkiewicz magpie Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the women's straw belt. The show will also feature appearances by former champions Chris Weidman, Frankie Edgar e Rashad evans.
