Former UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar is still trying to unravel the causes of his positive anti-doping tests in his most recent fight in the octagon, in July, at UFC 200. To this end, the fighter's defense requested tests on eye drops and foot creams used by the fighter in order to discover the origin of the prohibited substance.

Lesnar was caught in two different exams, one during the training period, the other on the day of the fight against Mark Hunt in July. The substance found was clomiphene, which stimulates the body's natural production of testosterone.

Although clomiphene is commonly taken orally, Lesnar believes that the eye drops and cream may have been the source of the substance. Therefore, the matter is being investigated by Howard Jacobs, the American athlete's lawyer.

“We are still investigating the matter, which involves testing all of the products used by Mr. Lesnar prior to the positive test. To provide further details, I was informed that laboratory tests examined eye drops, which were negative for clomiphene or clomiphene metabolites. Further tests were performed on a foot cream,” his lawyer wrote in a letter sent to the Nevada Athletic Commission.

On the night of UFC 200, Lesnar defeated Hunt via unanimous decision. However, his doping case is still being investigated, and the expectation is that his victory will be changed to a no-contest fight.
