Lineker takes second place in the bantamweight rankings

Brazilian overtook Assunção and was behind only Dillashaw; Nicolau and Massaranduba move up in their categories

John Lineker is on a roll after victory over John Dodson in the main fight of UFC Portland, last Saturday (1). The Brazilian took second place in the official ranking of the bantamweight division (up to 61 kg), which brings him even closer to the long-awaited title fight.

According to the most recent list update, Lineker has surpassed Raphael Assunção and is only behind the former champion TJ Dillashaw. Just like all title holders, Dominick Cruz, division champion, does not appear on the list.

Another highlight of the ranking is Brandon Moreno, which hit Louis Smolka in the attraction. The Mexican joined the list in the flyweight division (57 kg), in 15th. Smolka, in turn, lost four positions and fell to 13th, which made the Brazilian Matheus Nicolau gained a position – now, he is tenth.

Will Brooks, defeated by Alex Cowboy in the second most important fight of the night, he left the lightweight list (70 kg). This allowed Francisco Massaranduba gained a place, in 12th, with the entry of Rashid Magomedov, in 15th.
