Rafael Cordeiro, leader of the Kings MMA team and trainer of Fabricio Werdum, used his social networks this Wednesday (05) to announce, unofficially, that the rematch between Fabricio Werdum e Cain Velazquez will take place at UFC 207, December 30th, in Las Vegas. The UFC, however, has not yet made the fight official.

"Beneil Dariush will be representing our team on November 5th in Mexico City and the Fabricio Werdum on December 30th, in Las Vegas against Cain Velazquez. Let’s go with everything!” Cordeiro wrote in the caption of a photo with his two pupils.
Former heavyweight champions, Werdum and Velasquez are coming off victories over the same opponent: Travis Browne. Cain knocked out his boyfriend Ronda Rousey at UFC 200, in July, while the Brazilian overcame Browne in a unanimous decision by the judges at UFC 203, held in September.
Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velásquez faced each other for the first time in June 2015, in a dispute valid for the heavyweight title. On that occasion, Werdum, who had won the interim belt, submitted his rival in the third round and became champion of the category. This time, the dispute would be a kind of semi-final, with the winner qualifying to face Stipe Miocic, current division champion.
