Life is not easy for Rousimar Toquinho since his departure from North American MMA. The Brazilian, former UFC fighter and former WSOF champion, suffered a brutal knockout at KSW 36, an event held last Saturday (1), in Poland.
Toquinho faced local athlete Michal Materla in a fight valid for the middleweight division (up to 84 kg). In the second round of the dispute, the Brazilian took a upper right on the chin, which immediately led to a knockout.
It was his second consecutive defeat in MMA. In May, Toquinho lost to Emil Meek at Venator FC, held in Italy. The fighter left North American events after receiving a suspension for holding submissions longer than necessary; in 2013, he was fired from the UFC for exactly the same reason.
